Trieb: Huernia namaquensis ist eine niedrig wachsende Sukkulente mit aufrechten Trieben, die dort wurzeln, wo sie den Boden berühren. So bildet sie mit ihren Stämmchen bald eine dichte Gruppe.
Blüten: Die ca. 2–3 cm großen Blüten sind von weißlich-gelber Grundfarbe und rot gesprenkelt. Sie bilden sich in Gruppen von 2 bis 6 an der Basis der Triebe. Die Art ist variabel in Blütengröße und -form.

Huernia namaquensis wurde erstmals von Neville Stuart Pillans im September 1926 in der Schlucht des Hoigat River gesammelt. Als erste Aufzeichnung dieser Pflanze gilt die Zeichnung von Robert Gordon während einer Expedition zur Mündung des Orange River im Jahr 1779. Die Pflanze blühte in Kultur bei Pillans im Jahr 1928 und im Jahr 1930 folgte seine Beschreibung.
Verbreitung: Kleines Namaqualand (auf Felsen bei Hoigat, Richtersveld), aride Region im NW-Südafrikas.
